Syafiq Jubri

Syafiq Jubri is a designer and architect, involved in both practice and academia. Currently based in Singapore his works pays a special interest to process and technique with an underlying fascination to the ‘weird’ and ‘characterful’ qualities in things.

Syafiq was based in the UK for 9 years where he was trained as an architect and returned to Singapore in 2019. In the last three years, Syafiq founded spatial design studio, ‘Intuition’, focusing on crafting spatial experiences and narratives for F&B and hospitality clients. Through different projects, Syafiq’s works examines the emotional impact of spaces and sees it as part of a larger strategy for a sustainable future.  

In 2013, Syafiq was the recipient of the nationwide scholarship by DesignSingapore Council (DSG) to further his development at the Bartlett School of Architecture. His graduation thesis had won numerous recognitions and published worldwide. Syafiq was also the immediate past president of the DesignSingapore Associates Network, a group formed of DSG scholars for initiating community focused projects and is now an advisor in the exco.

Recently, he joined the inspiring team at Heatherwick studio to further his interest in developing characterful architectural spaces and hopes to remain between South East Asia and Europe.
