Elissa Brunato
Elissa Brunato is a material designer and systems thinker who explores concepts around material culture. She researches cross-disciplinary into emerging scientific possibilities, circular systems and materials, curious about how these respond to human wider ecological systems.
Intrigued by material and surface tactility, Elissa previously worked in Embroidery Design/Production, both for Ready-to-Wear and Haute Couture studios. Elissa has focused on developing circular materials for the fashion industry, including her award-winning Bio Iridescent Sequin, which glitters fantastically and is made from cellulose.
